The Tiger Rock Inc 223/5.56 Upper Receiver Tool securely holds a upper receiver assembly for maintenance and build work. Designed to be used with a bench vise, the upper receiver is then slid on the rod. This tool is your one stop shop for removal and installation of the barrel, flash hider, gas block and the handguard! Excellent for removing stubborn/seized barrel nuts without damaging the upper. Designed for muzzle device installs and will not damage index pin.

This tool has an aluminum shaft and steel head. The steel head locks into your barrel extension lugs. The steel head is pinned into the aluminum tool shaft. It's solid and works but not as bombproof as the MI tool. Thanks, Aaron

Receiver rod

The rod worked as its intended use. Changed out standard handguard for free floating handguard work awesome. I will recommend it and would buy again. Good quality for a fraction of a price.

Meh, it kind of works

This tool is not to be considered even close to on par with options from Midwest industries that fit into the upper and barrel extension like a guage to forcibly align and retain alignment throughout the correct torque procedure for barrel nuts or muzzle devices. In short this tool will work in a pinch, but the tolerances are sloppy to say the least and not particularly close to any spec. It is better than an upper vice block, but I would not purchase this over the Midwest device any day.
