The Sierra 7 Bipod w/ Rubber Feet gives the shooter the control and stability to make the perfect shot, even under the most challenging circumstances. This bipod manufactured by the experts at Sierra 7 is machined to allow for the maximum amount of strength and precision, and features rubber feet that are rugged, tested, and reliable.
The Sierra 7 bipod was designed to give the modern sniper, who is employing larger caliber more accurate rifles, suitable support. The concept was developed by Daniel Horner who is a very experienced, top level competitive shooter as well as a being an active duty Soldier. Daniel listened to snipers from every facet of the Army and Department of Defence to find what they needed in a bipod. He used that information to build a bipod that met those needs exactly. Everyone agreed it needed to be rugged, reliable, have a smooth pan and track feature, a stable tilt feature, tension adjustment until lock for both, and have no 'play' from any of the elements.
Like most revolutionary gear (red dots, modular forends, muzzle-breaks, enhanced scope rings, match grade barrels, etc.) this bipod was tested in competition to prepare it for combat. Two prototypes were used by Daniel and sniper partner Tyler Payne to compete in, and win, the 2012 International Sniper Competition in Fort Benning, GA. Daniel asked for input from the world-class snipers at the competition and made a few final adjustments to ensure that you, as the end user, would get exactly what you need. What came about was the last edition of the S7 bipod
Why the Sierra 7 Bipod
PAN
One of the revolutionary features of your S7 bipod is the pan feature. This was created to be as precise as you are. There is no play in any direction. The smoothness of the tracking ability cannot be overstated. This makes engaging moving targets and transitioning from target to target much more comfortable. By using the tensioning lever on the rear of the S7, the tracking feature can be tensioned from free to locked, or anywhere in-between, in 3/8 of a turn. There is a total of 90 degrees of panning, 45 degrees in each direction as shown below. There is a rugged stop on each side to ensure that your rifle will always be supported.
Tilt
S7's tilt feature is second to none. The bipods rotate smoothly regardless of how much tension is applied to the mechanism. The tilt tension is adjustable from entirely free for wholly locked in 3/8 of a turn; with an infinite amount of tension adjustment in-between. There is a total of 60 degrees of tilt, 30 in each direction as is shown below.
Legs
The legs on your S7 Bipod are machined to allow for the maximum amount of strength and precision. By making the outer tube from steel, we were able to make a leg that has virtually no play. However, keeping in mind the types of environments that you would be operating in there is enough room for dirt and debris to fall away, as well as a powerful spring to push the inner legs out.
Feet
The rubber feet are a time-proven option. They are rugged, tested, and reliable. You can expect that they will not slip or slide when you need them the most.
