Additional Installation Tips & Instructions
We have found during dozens of installations that there are variations in the Ruger guns. These variations will in no way effect the function or performance of the Ruger PC carbine.Please remember this gun is a takedown model so perfect alignment may not always be achieved. We have found for best alignment, start by aligning the MI handguard with the top edges of the factory plastic stock. This may take a few attempts and some patience but will produce a very satisfactory result. We have also noticed some variations in the rear sights of these rifles. They are sometimes not installed perfectly straight to the bore. This can be corrected by removing the peep sight portion and straightening out the base.Some rifles will also show a left or right cant with the whole barrel assembly when locked into place. You can see this by looking from the rear of the gun and using the top rail as a reference surface. Neither the function of our handguard or the guns performance will be effected by these slight alignment variations of the factory manufactured firearms. On a final note if after installing the handguard on your firearms you still have any play please check that the tension adjustment ring is properly adjusted on your rifle. Additional information and photos can be found on our website.

I called Ruger first and they do not have any plans to sell their new PC9 handgaurd seperately.    This MI foreend completes the PC9 to be what it should have been from day one.  One screw installation, and it fits tight, strong, solid and looks damn good.  Thank you Midwest Industries.

Just received and installed the newly released Ruger PC Carbine floating hand guard. The fit, finish and quality is excellent. Installs easily with one screw, just make sure you use the slightly shorter one they supply or it will not tighten up sufficiently. There are no instructions so use everything they give you. Just leave the original screw captured in the original forestock in case you want to restore it someday. Gives the rifle a much more aggressive look without going to AR levels. I look forward to future products from Midwest for this weapon.

I'm very pleased this product came out and that I didn't buy any of the other limited functionality ones on the market.  The stock Ruger hand guard is ok for small hands or young shooters but the MI product feels great when handling from all angles, keeps your hand from getting burned touching a hot barrel, and is ready for any and all accessories! I would rate this as a 10+ product. Thank you for bringing this product to the PC Carbine community!

One screw and instantly my PC Carbine has a ton of options available. The little stock rail that Ruger supplied was very limited with the location of the sling attachment. I understand Ruger now uses an m-lok hand guard like this on the current models available but I wasn't going to buy a new one when I found this upgrade available at Midwest. One screw yet it's very stable. Awesome
