Law Tactical AR15 Folding Stock Adapter Gen 3-M AR-15 Folder 4140 Steel

The first folding stock adapter compatible with AR platform rifles. Available in Black 100-015-850WB and FDE 100-022-522WB .

The Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter works with direct impingement or gas piston systems and fits A2, carbine, mil-spec or commercial buffer tube and stocks. It can be used with standard bolt carrier groups including: full auto, semi auto, 5.56 to .308.

The Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter was designed for low profile transport of AR rifles in non-permissive environments. The adapter is ideal for any situation that requires a smaller profile weapon for transport and storage. Simple one-button release folds the stock. To engage, just unfold and fire. The stock automatically locks into place, requiring no fine motor skills.

Designed, built and assembled in the USA from CNC machined, 4140 steel.

The adapter does not affect gun function when unfolded in the standard fire position. The rear portion of the adapter is built to the same specifications as a standard receiver to ensure maximum compatibility. An integrated single point sling attachment point is included.

It is heavy, which you can notice before opening the box! That said it is also expensive! For most users this would simply be a non-justifiable gimmick. Now the good: It is well made! Engrave whatever message you want the world to remember you by because after the catastrophic event that is your demise from either terrorist, animal, or alien, this is one item that will be recovered intact. It will shift the center of balance for your weapon rearward. I believe the best use of this device is on a full size DMR that is carried slung and muzzle down on your back/shoulder to reduce the stock catching on brush, vines, or wires/junk or to ease transport in a vehicle. If it came stock on a government issued weapon, most folks would be going to a collapsible/telescoping stock to save the weight and in patrolling/stalking situations where your weapon must be at the ready or is front slung, it is superfluous. I originally got this to optimize the packability/concealment of a 300blk pistol but will instead put it on a heavy barreled battle rifle then reevaluate for the pistol. I am a 31 year retired Special Forces guy and am not generally concerned about a few ounces if it earns its way. Under certain circumstances this device is absolutely perfect for shortening a weapon. If you hunt with a 308 AR and backpack into rough country where you need your hands free for negotiating obstacles you will praise the day you added it to your weapon and a few ounces will not be noticed. If your weapon goes from vehicle to bench rest it will provide convenience and sure looks cool. However, of all the things to spend your money on perhaps increasing your optics budget will return more satisfying performance results. BTW, I should get mine back from the engraver later this week :-) P:S: It is on the pistol and the weight was easily absorbed without distraction. Great for transportability but still too expensive as it cost more than a complete upper receiver.

Great Purchase, Great Service
I was looking for a Law folding adapter and having a hard time in today's climate. Valhalla had it in stock at a decent price which was awesome. They had great communication on top of it. Definitely would do business again.

Law AR folding adapter
Full disclosure, this is my first and only folding adapter for an AR. Haven’t tried the gambit of other companies out there for folders. Take that for what it’s worth. I can see why people praise the law folder. The machining is precise, the lock up is strong and the install was fairly uncomplicated. However even watching install videos I still had to take some time to figure out how line up the buffer tube while tightening the adapter piece. Overall not the worst install I’ve attempted. it’s built for AR’s so very much a plug and play piece. Not too many ways you can screw it up. As far as the actual function of the piece it’s top notch. There is a little button bottom right of the adapter that allows the lock to disengage and the stock to fold. This allows the AR to fold nice and small and increase transport options such as a discreet bag. Now for some of the downsides. If you use the QD mount plate at the rear of the lower receiver you lose that option due to the proprietary plate that must be installed for the LAW adapter. There is a QD spot that faces the deck just further back on the adapter. I found that the swivel presses into my firing hand thumb and was not an ideal spot for the QD. If you don’t have your rear sling mount there it is an nonissue for you. Lastly if you have a wide stock like a sopmod it may not sit flush to your rifle. Whether or not that is an problem is for you to decide. Overall these were not deal breakers for me. Just something to be aware of. It is a great folder if you want to compact your AR for transport and have the ducketts to spare.
