The Guntec Fake Suppressor gives you the looks of having a 10.5” suppressed rifle but doesn’t come with all of the expense and paperwork that’s required for the real thing. This gives the illusion of a suppressed SBR and of course, no stamp is required. Keep in mind, this fake can is just for cosmetic looks and does not provide any sound suppression whatsoever.

The upper is built off of the LMT standard forged A4 receiver with M4 feed ramps. The barrel is mil-spec machine gun grade chrome-moly vanadium material, light government contour, 5.56mm chamber and bore, 1/7 twist ratio and 1/2x28 threaded barrel and chrome lined for corrosion and wear resistance. All barrels are magnetic particle tested, Cryogenically treated for enhanced accuracy, easier cleaning and longer life, and put to the test with 50% overload Proof round without incident failure or flaw "because failure is not an option". Utilizing fully implemented Quality Assurance methods and procedures to ensure the highest quality and reliability of products. LMT is ISO 9001:2000 Certified and MADE IN USA.

What is Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and High Pressure Testing (HPT)?
The barrels are HPT (High Pressure Testing) tested which is a process wherein a proof load rated at 70,000 psi (far exceeding the pressure of a normal round) is fired trough the barrel. The barrel is then tested with a non-destructive process called MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection). MPI is a process that utilizes magnetic powder to detect any flaws in the barrel extension and barrel from the proof load. Many manufacturers only MPI a couple rifles a batch. EVERY LMT barrel is MP tested and engraved as such.

Can you put .223 Remington ammo in a 5.56 upper?
Yes, you can put .223 into a 5.56 chambered upper, but NOT the other way around due to pressure related issues with slight variations in the chamber (5.56 are slightly longer). Do NOT purchase a rifle chambered in .223 if you EVER plan on shooting any military NATO 5.56 ammo, which is the most common, least expensive and most widely used AR15 cartridge available in all the world. The problem is NATO cartridges have bullets that will become jammed into the rifling of a SAAMI .223 chambering (the throat is too short). This is VERY DANGEROUS, for a lot of reasons. For best accuracy, 5.56 is recommended but .223 will shoot fine and safely.
How do I silver solder a muzzle extension?
Many times when working, repairing, or modifying firearms, the need to join pieces of steel arises. Many times, the pieces will be hardened or tempered, so welding is out of the question. Sometimes the pieces are tiny, and welding would destroy them. Or, maybe you don't have a welding set-up.
Silver bearing solder is the answer for all of these occasions. Silver bearing solder, or silver solder is just what it's name implies, solder with some silver in it. The silver makes the soldered joint stronger, raises the melting temperature of the solder, and raises the price of the solder. With a melting temperature of about 500 degrees, these solders can be used with nothing more that a Propane Torch, and if the torch is used carefully, won't change the heat treatment of the metals being joined.
Add Brownells Silver Solder in Options below. Brownell's solders-in-flux are ideal for gun work. Joins most ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including stainless steel. Exceptions are aluminum and magnesium. Special homogenizing process ends solder/flux separation. Makes it possible to package them in "syringes" for fast, accurate application with less waste. Flux residue cleans up with warm water.
