What is Geissele Nanoweapon?
Geissele Nanoweapon (also known as Picatinny DSL) is a family of Durable Solid Lubricant coatings which was developed by ARDEC. It is available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. We continued the development of Picatinny DSL so that its level of corrosion, wear and abrasion resistance is currently unmatched among firearm coatings. Nanoweapon is applied at low temperatures so that the underlying metallurgy of the part is non effected by the application process. Our coating also has a surface hardness roughly equivalent to synthetic diamond. This makes Geissele Nanoweapon harder than sand, easily rejecting carbon and making cleaning a breeze, on top of allowing the firearm to operate normally with less lubrication.
NOTE: This upper assembly has a barrel less than 16” in length. These uppers are intended for use in AR pistol or legal short-barreled rifle builds. Other configurations may violate Federal law. The muzzle device on this barreled upper receiver has not been pinned and welded. NFA DISCLAIMER/WARNING: Since this item does not meet the 16" minimum barrel length requirement, it requires registration and a tax stamp with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) if assembled into a complete short barrel rifle. Additional state and local restrictions may apply. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to comply with any and all applicable laws.
REVIEWS:
5 STAR 100% SUPERB
It was a long wait to receive it but definitely worth it. Shoots tight groups and looks sweet. It's currently my favorite AR. By Clint on 3/5/20
5 STAR 100% EXCELLENT PIECE OF GEAR
I waited impatiently like many for this upper and when I got I understood the wait was worthy. I put it together with a geissele lower and voila, the perfect combination. Although I wanted to go shoot right of way, I decided to wait and put it through its paces in a carbine class, so I wanted again. I finally took the class and I put approximately 500 rounds which it might be not a lot by many but it was good baseline to measure reliability and performance. Well, I was definitely impressed with it performance, this upper felt like many of my mid-length uppers, not overly gassy and very soft to shoot. I didn't get any malfunctions altogether, it fed and ejected reliably. Overall, this is an excellent piece of gear that I would recommend anyone that is serious in taking training and using their gear a lot. By Ozzy on 2/23/20
5 STAR 100% EXCELLENT UPPER, HIGH QUALITY.
This is a very nice upper, nice BCG. My only complaint is that they seem to rocksett the flash hider on. I wish they wouldn't do this because its really hard to get some of them off, and most users nowadays use other cans. By S on 2/11/20
