GG&G Remington 700 Short Action Mounting Base GGG-1022

The re-designed GG&G short action scope mount for the Remington Model 700 BDL rifles is designed to meet the demands and expectations of armed professionals.

The GG&G design is a full rail configuration with enough relief to allow cartridge manipulation and spent cartridge ejection. The dovetail on the mounting base is machined to military specifications. The recoil slots are machined to accept the wide recoil lugs found on sniper-quality rings. Manufactured from 4140 billet steel, the Remington scope mount feature a black manganese phosphate mil-spec finish and only weigh 4.2 ounces.

Given the popularity of this rifle among hunters and sharpshooters, a scope mount for the Remington 700 should match the rifle's reputation of dependability. GG&G has applied the same precision machining and real world testing with the Remington scope rail that is used with their entire line of tactical rifles. Furthermore, the accuracy difference between a bolt-action rifle and an automatic means that the Remington scope base (and especially the long range scope base) must be just about perfect for tactical use.
