In keeping with one of our primary goals, "maximize product flexibility" the new GG&G Tactical Modular Free Floating Forearm offers the most user accommodating free floating tactical forearm in the world today. The Tactical Modular Free Floating Forearm is easily installed on AR15 or M16 carbine length barrels and unlike other models this free floating forearm rail system can be mounted on A2 carry handle configurations. As with other free float versions in the market place, the barrel has to be removed from the receiver for installation. The two halves of the GG&G forearm frame are installed onto the barrel nut with a rigid attachment method. The innovative attachment provides for a full floating barrel. Unlike other models the installation does not require removal of the front sight or the muzzle brake on post ban models.
Once installed the Tactical Modular Free Floating Forearm is ready to be outfitted with the rails and forearm panels installed in the locations that best suit your accessories, mission requirements and shooting style. The unique design of this forearm, and rail system allow the end user to place rails and forearm panels at all twelve clock positions. Unlike other forearms in the market, the GG&G solid polymer removable forearm panels are the same thickness as the removable rails, so when in place, the profile is no larger than the forearm.
The major components of the Tactical Modular Free Floating Forearm are manufactured from billet 6061 T6 aluminum alloy and are Type III hard coat anodized in a durable tactical non-reflective matte black finish per mil-spec. The forearm panels are manufactured from solid acetal cold polymer. This provides a very maneuverable and lightweight accessory: Only 16.14 ounces. All attachment points are stainless steel helicoils and torx screws.
